Yes we are back! Now for the first of the ‘Volume 2′ series of the previously posted selections on the blog. We are very proud to present you the sequel to Super Uepa Cumbias Vol.1! Again coming out strong with a selection of DEVASTATING cumbias (and a few pachangas thrown in there!) straight from Canicule Tropicale creator Philippe Noël’s precious record collection. Sorry no tracklist this time. But maybe some of you can already identify some of these, who knows!

This very rhythmic latin mix is the result of a middle-of-the-week-day-off-from-work relaxing at home and even having the arrogance of serving myself one or two (or three?) glasses of Barbancour rum while going through my records and deciding to please the Canicule Tropicale aficionados…

Yes! We are back after a few months and this time we thought it was time to explore the amazingness of Senegal’s rhythms. You heard it right: Number One, Youssou N’Dour and his Etoile de Dakar, Star Band and of course my all time favorites, Orchestra Baobab (aka Bawobab on some releases).
Lets just say I had the best of time doing this selection for you guys, so please sit back relax, and even jump a few times if you feel it!
